I am going to India!
Last year I began studying with the lovely Khushi Malhotra. I immediately resonated with her steady, patient and unhurried way of imparting her vast amount of knowledge. At the top if her website she proclaims “nature is my best friend” and I feel like I see that reflected in the loving, no -nonsense way she relates to the world. I am so excited to finally meet her in person and out of the zoom room!
I will be attending her annual Himalaya retreat in September. I am so very thrilled and also a little nervous, as I have not traveled abroad for a very long time. Fortunately, I love doing things that give me this flavor of nerves. I am sure autumn’s “Animal of The Month” will include a fair amount of reflection about my travels (monkeys, deer, leopards, porcupines, mongoose, wild boars, and Himalayan bears are all potential features) but for now I am gearing up for my departure mid-September.
Art Sale!
As it turns out, much of “gearing up” cost money, so I have foraged deep into the archives and selected 34 paintings all under 12”, some newer and most many years old. I am going to sell them on my InstaGram stories tomorrow Saturday 8/10/24. I shall post them each with their price, title and size. They are all likely going to be between $44 - $144. I thought it would be nice to give you all a little preview (see above video). If you see something you like let me know and you can have first dibs!
